As a public figure and communications executive, Cynthia often looks for activities in the community in which she has opportunities to give back. Some of these include:

Orangeburg Teen Girls Club

Cynthia teams up with one of the show’s sponsors to host a monthly program for teen girls who are either pregnant or already have children. Noting that often there is an abundance of programs to prevent teen pregnancy, but few that work with girls after they’ve had children, Cynthia and her sponsors work with the high school nurse and principal to provide mentors, role models and community resources for the girls. Grandma's Hands

Grandma's Hands is an event to show appreciation for grandparents and extended family members who have assumed the responsibility of raising grandchildren and other family members who are minor children. Sponsored by Absolute Total Care, a special dinner is held in their honor, where they are pinned with flowers. After dinner, Cynthia hosts a town hall-type forum on community issues urging empowerment among grandparents. In addition, community resource people are pulled in to provide grandmothers with the latest information regarding the children’s educational needs and expectations.
