Welcome to the OnPoint Fitness Challenge featuring fitness expert, Marlin Jackson! This time we have the pleasure to host this fitness challenge with the Midlands Community Health Center and the A.C. Jackson Wellness Center.
Congratulations on your decision to join us in our effort to get fit and healthy!! Beginning in May and ending in July, participants from the community will pledge to eat a healthier diet while increasing physical activity and exercise. The OnPoint Fitness Challenge and the Midlands Community Health Center have at the core of its mission fostering activities that fight obesity, encourage good heart health and managing diabetes and other chronic diseases. As a result of this partnership and fitness challenge we expect participants to experience weight loss, increases in energy levels, and overall indicators for improved health. The challenge will conclude with an area wide walk/run to promote healthy community activities.
As many of you know, I began my workout regimen in 2005 with Bodies by Bert and today---I have lost more than 70 pounds and gained energy levels I use to envy in other people. My starting weight was nearly 250 pounds---pretty ‘thick’ for a 5”7’ woman.
To continue my weight loss and further sculpt my body---I began training with Marlin Jackson this year. His enthusiasm sparked me to host another fitness challenge to allow more people to enjoy this rigorous, but rewarding experience. I invite you to join us.
HERE’S WHAT YOU DO TO SIGN UP----Make sure to fill out the registration form to hold your spot in the challenge. Space is limited, so it is important to pre register. We plan to meet twice a week, Monday and Thursday. Be prepared to meet at least once with the group for an hour workout. Plan to attend one of the following:
May 12, 2008 -----6:00 pm Orientation/A.C. Jackson Wellness Center
May 15, 2008 -----6:00 pm Orientation/A.C. Jackson Wellness Center
Also on this site, you will find the Registration Packet which includes the Client Profile Sheet, and Consent and Waiver Forms, that will help each of us and our trainer get a better picture of what we eat as well as our daily activity level. Good Luck and see you in the gym!!!!!!!
